EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, applicable commensurate experience may be considered.
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have about 10 years designing and/or managing the installation and operation of environmental remediation systems. Must have working knowledge of GWET equipment & processes (well pumps, air stripping, filtration, adsorption, process controls, etc.), SVE, and GW air sparge. Familiarity with SSDS for vapor mitigation is required. Bioremediation and in-situ chem-ox experience is a plus.
SPECIAL SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS
- NJDEP Industrial Wastewater Operator N-2 license or higher desired. PE is a plus but not required.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher.
- Ability to bring work and/or relationships with customers is desired, along with ability to assist with business development.
- Familiarity with blueprints and design drawings is required.
- Ability to write and communicate in English.
- Visible leadership capacity and ability to “lead by example” in a team setting while projecting professionalism.
- Strong project management skills needed. PMP or other construction management certifications are a plus.
- Ability to develop shop drawings and communicate on a technical level that instills confidence and trust in both customers and regulators.
- Project financial management skills including budget development and management, profit/loss analysis, contract and change order management, risk assessment and cost assignment, and basic project accounting including invoicing and cost accrual.
- Computer skills including MS Office, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. CADD is not required but a working knowledge is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Position: This position reports to the system Division Manager as a Project Manager – Systems Division. Salary will be commensurate with experience as well as potential to bring new opportunities to the AWT project pipeline. The desired candidate will lead the Systems Division operations and assist with division sales and business development. Periodic travel throughout the mid-Atlantic region may be required but will be primarily focused in the NJ-PA-NY area for site visits, customer meetings and seminars.
The Sr. Project Manager will:
- Oversee division workload with the Division Manager.
- Track project award and delivery status.
- Manage projects upon award including contract review and execution, submittals, permitting, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, project safety, budget maintenance, change order development and invoicing.
- Assure quality of project delivery from submittals to final as-built and punch list process.
- Maintain adherence to AWT standard procedures and assist the Division Manager in assessing and continually improving SOPs and standards.
- Work with the Division Manager to assess individual and division performance using metrics measuring productivity, profit, health & safety, and customer satisfaction; assist in refining and developing metrics to better manage division performance.
- Be a technical resource to division personnel including other Project Managers and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain resources for the division relating to equipment, materials, and reference standards.
While the position will primarily require interaction with AWT Operations, the candidate will be expected to work with equally as well with sales, estimating and administration. The Project Manager will also be considered, along with the Division Manager, as a technical resource to Sales, Estimating and other Project Managers throughout the company. Health and safety will be an integral part of field operations, and the Project Manager will be responsible for stewarding this on all division projects and in all facets of company operations.
The Project Manager must be able to meet and communicate with customers, as well as in AWT inter-departmental meetings, where he or she will be expected to project professionalism, confidence, integrity, and ingenuity to AWT’s customer base and AWT staff.
